Lake Wörthersee is the largest bathing lake in Carinthia and, thanks to its incomparable turquoise-green colour, a wonderful excursion destination for nature lovers and fans of local cuisine. You can cover the 25 kilometres in around 20 minutes via the A2 Südautobahn motorway.

Lake Faak, with its crystal-clear water, is considerably smaller than Lake Wörthersee, but no less impressive. Not only bathing fun is guaranteed here: Sprawling cycle paths and hiking trails are a feast for the senses thanks to its close proximity to the mountains, and water rats also benefit from the countless SUP and kayaking options. Incidentally, it is only 10 kilometres from our accommodation in Villach to Lake Faak. Tip: Be sure to visit the small island in the middle of the lake!

Lake Ossiach is also a very popular excursion destination. One of the many highlights away from bathing fun is the famous Ossiach Abbey, where the Carinthian Summer takes place every year. This bathing lake can also be reached by car in less than 20 minutes.
