Pure nature! At Lake Faak
If you go on a hike with Barbara Müller, you will see nature with different eyes and perceive it differently. Her tours for the whole family around Lake Faak are about the gradual, conscious discovery of this magnificent landscape. But it’s also about seeing the beauty of nature again, learning from each other, being out and about with like-minded people, and it’s about sensory and culinary delights.
You learn how delicious wild plants along the way taste, how incredibly clear and refreshing a sip from a spring can be, how the forest and meadow floor feels under your feet, and you hear what the wind says when it rustles through the leaves.
And, of course, you also get to see the most beautiful places in the region. The tour in the Dobrova forest area, for example, leads across meadows and forests to the west of the lake. Here you can see the Finkensteiner Moor, one of the region’s natural gems. The trail continues to a forest pasture and then to the Hubertus spring. If you are brave enough, you can dip your feet in the cool spring water and feel the invigorating effect. Step by step, we make our way to a vantage point with a view of the Mittagskogel. Barbara prepares a delicious spread from collected wild herbs and flowers, fresh curd cheese from the farmer and home-baked bread and tells you about the other delicacies from the “forest buffet”. It’s easy to discover the treasures that grow in the meadows and forests.
