Kanzianiberg via ferrata tour
With mountain guide Sepp Egarter through the gorges and chimneys of the Kanzianiberget. Starting at a small rock formation near the parking lot, there is first an introduction to safety and climbing techniques for climbing secured climbing routes. On training courses of varying difficulty through chimneys and gorges, the route leads up to higher areas of the rock labyrinth. The via ferrata consists of several sections around the rock faces of the Kanziani mountain and leads to its peak at 795 meters.
It is one of the largest and oldest via ferratas in Austria and is very well developed with paths and trails.
Almost every via ferrata passage can be bypassed or shortened as desired. Climbing is done on well-secured boulders, rock faces, rope bridges and through mountain crevasses. In addition to shorter via ferratas to reach climbing routes, three notable via ferratas lead through the walls, which are up to 70 meters high: the Kaminklettersteig, the Märchensteig and the Kanzelklettersteig. Climbing on the Kanzianiberg promises fun and a real experience. All safety equipment is provided by the organizer (Alpinschule 4 Jahreszeiten).
